When he loses his job, they face a fierce struggle with debts and become unable to pay their rent. An eviction verdict forces the family to leave their home. Mona wants to go back to Cairo but her sons don’t want to leave their birthplace. An unusual solution comes out; occupying a derelict house and sharing it with other families. The film follows Mona and her family during this particular life experience, telling a story about the idea of home, the feeling of belonging, and nostalgia.
